Announcing my new Q3 server: SPYDERWEB

Hi to all of the good people of the Burial Grounds.

This post announces the birth of my Q3 server, SPYDERWEB, at 63.211.110.56:27960

The most current map rotation is: q3dm6, q3dm7, q3dm12, q3dm14, q3tourney5, boombox, charonq2dm1v2, natedm2, quatrix, feldm1, pqarena, spacemap-nkd, ik3sm2, klhights, jaxdm4_v21, alleyq3dc2, chronic, mrcq3t3, midnight, deathtube2, quarea51, lsdm2, match04, mvdm01, d3dm4f.

There are presently 342 custom maps on this server. I obviously do not have the time to type them into this post, but if anyone wants a list of them send me a pm with your email and I will send a list to you.

All maps are votable, and autodownload is on. However, most are available by doing a google search for them.

Right now, the server is plain vanilla baseq3.

BTW, both of the maps that dmschaos just released are there for voting also, and I plan to add them to the rotation as soon as time permits. (q3chaosdm2-HO, and q3chaosdm3).

Sometime in the near future, I will have them on an ftp site for quick downloading (if I can figure out how to do that, plus build a website - LOL)

A lot of the maps I have on the server, I have never seen played on any of the servers i have ever visited. They came from a collection that I and two guys I worked with before i retired collected and played.

My thanks go out to Pointman and Fragster, who helped make this collection possible.

If any of you feel the urge to play some classic old Q3 maps, try it out, it is a lot of fun.

And, of course, any suggestions, feedback, or requests are welcome.

My twin 22 inch LCD widescreens on my side work computer look fantastic, makes the work better.

Hi guys:
The provider is gameservers.com, which used to be called clanservers.com.
The server is located in Atlanta.
I usually ping about 45 or so from Florida.

I was on the server last night, and "joy" connected.
If any of you have ever played against him, you know he is tough to beat. We had some good play going at times, with some others who I don't know who joined.
We ended up our session with a map called quatrix, (a tribute map to the Matrix movies), and then played natedm2 and ended up with pqarena. He beat me on all of the maps we played, with the exception of quatrix, which was the only time I have ever been able to best him when playing 1 on 1.
